Continuing the huge success of Bike Week, WyoTech hosts this year’s Bike Week celebration at destination Daytona Beach, Florida. The Horsepower Shootout allows competitors to match up bikes from stock with those that are heavily modified.

From the recent Eicma Motorcycle and Powersports trade show in Milan, Italy. The Motociclismo magazine staff were featuring our Dynojet model 250i by doing live tuning demonstrations at this show. From the looks of things, Horsepower is universal!

Our Italian Distributor, Ferracci Italia, along with the Italian motorcycle magazine, Motociclismo, were demonstrating the tuning capabilities of Dynojets model 250i chassis dynamometer to the over 500,000 attendees at this years EICMA show held in Milan, Italy November 4-9th, 2008. Team Lorenzini won the Italian Supersport 600 class with rider Massimo Roccoli and Italian Superstock 1000 class with rider Emanuele Pirro. All of the team's bikes have been tuned on the Dynojet 250i dynamometer and have been using Dynojet products, such as the Dynojet Power Commander and Quickshifter.

Three time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Angelle Sampey hasn't yet scored that elusive first '08 win, but a strong performance in the first race of the Countdown to the POWERade Championship moved her and the Rush Racing S&S powered V-Twin to third in points with 2112, just 2 points out of second place and 36 points out of first. "And we'll do an even better job next time out in Dallas," vowed George Bryce, Sampey's six-time national champion tuner and crew chief.

Rounds 17 & 18 of the Ginetta G50 Cup Championship headed to Mallory Park in Leicestershire. The occasion was also the second Ginetta Festival of 2008, held in honour of the 50th anniversary of Ginetta.

Over the three day Labor Day weekend, the Dynojet mobile dynamometer was in Harrisburg, IL. for the Cars for Kids Car Show and Drag Race. There were cars from all over the country. It was about 99 degrees, 98 percent humidity and no wind. A great day for Dyno testing! This was the sixth year Dynojet participated in the show. All proceeds generated from runs on the dyno go to the Cars for Kids organization.

The Dynojet Research mobile dynamometer was instrumental in catching illegal activity after the Nationwide race at MIS. The 20 and 18 cars owned by Joe Gibbs Racing and driven by Tony Stewart and Joey Logano respectively were found to have magnets placed on the throttle stops. These magnets restricted the gas pedal from opening the carburetor completely. As a result, peak horse power would not be achieved on the Dynojet. The loss of throttle movement lowered the horse power by about eight hp.

June 22, 2008 - The cars of drivers Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas, Max Papis, and Jon Fogerty get tested on the Dynojet during the Grand-Am Rolex Series at Mid-Ohio

Dynojet's increased presence at the High Lifter ATV Mud Nationals brought Power Commanders and a mobile Dynojet Tuning Center to Jacksonville, Texas. Racers prepping for runs in the mud bog found that snorkels tend to move their air/fuel ratio to the rich end. The snorkels are needed so that the vehicles can run into deep water without filling the motor with water. Many riders present had purchased another brand of fuel injection modification unit available onsite only to find that the unit didn't remove fuel. Enter the Dynojet Power Commander.

"We've had a long standing relationship with NASCAR, and our collaboration over the years has been very productive in many areas", says Keith Royle, Director of Dynamometer Sales. When the cars are tested on our chassis dyno at these events, it really is the 'end all' in regards to how much power they're making. The first two races on the reunion tour of three-time NHRA POWERade champion Pro Stock Motorcycle driver Angelle Sampey and six-time champion tuner George Bryce have not gone as well as the team had hoped. But they feel pretty lucky that, despite lackluster performance, they have a strong position in the point standings.

Daytona Beach, Fla. (March 10, 2008) - Attack Kawasaki's Chaz Davies and Steve Rapp made it a second consecutive one-two finish for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R at the prestigious Daytona 200 at the Daytona International Speedway on Saturday.

The naturally-aspirated Tremec Pure Street class went out on a high note at the finals, with a full field of 16 drivers in the lanes for eliminations. At the forefront was Ryan Hecox, thanks to his 10.281-at-135.48 qualifying effort, followed by Jimmy Wilson at 10.301, .
Brandon Alsept with a 10.307, and Rocky Mason batting cleanup thanks to his 10.314. The ten-thirties stretched deep into the field, all the way down to Victor Downs in seventh place..
Eliminations boiled the class down to the final pair – Alsept, who had run out an unprecedented 10.199 against Hecox in the semis, versus sixth-qualified Brad Meadows. In a textbook matchup, it was Alsept ahead from stripe to stripe, carding a .074-to-.103 holeshot and extending it all the way into the winner’s circle, running 10.307 at 130.37 to Meadows’ 10.344 at 131.37.
